(she/her) M.Ed., RP
Registered Psychotherapist
Being a human being, with a human mind and emotions, navigating our very human cultures is confusing, and often painful. Talking to someone can often help you get in touch with your own wisdom, or get a new perspective.
I have over 10 years of experience as a Registered Psychotherapist, working in both community agencies and in a college setting. This has given me a wealth of experience supporting adults (16+) with varied identities, backgrounds, and presenting issues: different cultures, faiths and philosophies; urban and rural folks, people of differing political views; people living with mental health problems, trauma, neurodivergence (ADHD/ADD or Autism); 2SLGBTQIA+ people; and people struggling with relationship issues in many different kinds of relationships.
I am primarily an ACT Therapist (pronounced like the word “act”, and not the letters that stand for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). When applicable, I also draw heavily on skills from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and I integrate ideas from Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). These are the theories and strategies that I find most helpful in my own life, and I enjoy sharing them with others.
I strive to build a safe, non-judgmental space where, together, we can discover where you’re getting stuck and how you can grow into a life that is authentic and meaningful to you.
I look forward to meeting you.
