Sahil Kaushal
(he/they) MSW In Progress
Counselling Intern
Hi, my name is Sahil. I’m a Master of Social Work student with a background in psychology. As a first-generation immigrant and neuroqueer individual, I place identity at the heart of my practice. I recognize the influence of culture, belonging, and various identities on mental health, and I aim to foster a safe environment where individuals can explore their unique experiences without fear of judgment. My personal journey allows me to connect with clients through empathy, humility, and genuine understanding.
I feel especially passionate about supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, newcomers, and immigrants. In our sessions, therapy will be a collaborative conversation in a safe space where you feel heard, your emotions acknowledged, and your perspective is valued. I strive to foster an environment where we can explore challenges at your pace, uncover strengths, and work toward goals that feel most meaningful to you. I believe that healing comes from curiosity, respect, and authentic human connection.
I also acknowledge that my work occurs on the traditional lands of Indigenous Peoples, and I emphasize this awareness by prioritizing respect, listening, and openness to diverse ways of knowing and healing.
If you think I might be a good fit for you, let’s connect and see where this journey can take us.
