Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and ADHD Coach

Hello, I’m Julie González and I’m glad you’re here! I would like to welcome you on your personal journey of growing, understanding, and healing.

As a mental health professional, I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with 17 years of experience working in mental health care through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with a psycho-educational and bio-psychosocial perspective.  Furthermore, having the opportunity of being a university professor in my home country for 14 years, I have learned that having knowledge of different approaches to therapy brings benefits in the process of teaching patients how to work on themselves and on their problems constructively.

My studies and career as a Clinical Psychologist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) working in person and virtually, have shown me the importance of comprehending cultural diversity. And in this path, I have had the opportunity to support individuals with social and emotional concerns, developing strategies to cope with daily challenges to facilitate clients' awareness and emotional growth. Following the above, my specialties are depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, social skills, coping strategies, family relationships, and emotional regulation. I also have experience helping people navigate the emotional impact and medical process of having cancer, HIV, and AIDS.

Outside of work, I enjoy sharing moments with my family and friends, cooking, going out to eat, and visiting new towns and cities.  When I am by myself, I love spending time watching murder mystery series and psychological thrillers.  I also find it relaxing to organize and rearrange my home, listen to music, dance, and play guitar.

If you need someone to talk to that is open-minded and trustworthy, I’ll be here and when you’re ready, we can talk within a safe space - whether in English or Spanish!  Looking forward to meeting you and starting this process together.

For more information about my experience and training, feel free to check out my LinkedIn profile here.

Blueprint Counselling is located in London and Toronto, Ontario where we live, work and grow on the traditional territory of many sovereign Indigenous Nations. London is the traditional home of the Haudenosaunee, Lūnapèewak, Attawandaron and Anishinaabek. Toronto, whose name is taken from the Mohawk word “Tkaranto,” is the traditional home of the the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabek, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat. We recognize that these lands are now home to many diverse Indigenous Peoples and acknowledge the historical and ongoing oppression and marginalization of First nations, Inuit and Métis people. We also acknowledge the historic and ongoing harms to Indigenous families and communities caused by social workers and mental health professionals and commit to ongoing work to decolonize our practice.
