We all deserve loving kindness and dignified support, especially during difficult periods of life. Therapists can be your ally through periods of suffering like heartbreaking loss, unrelenting depression, exhausting burnout, traumatic injustices, pervasive anxiety, or profound loneliness. Our lives continue to change even when we feel most trapped or stuck, so together we can collaborate on ways to move with change toward renewing your wellbeing.

Person-centred therapy (PCT) emphasizes the expertise you hold about your life as a key resource to combine with my mental healthcare expertise. We can apply best treatment practices using methods that are relevant and accessible to you based on what you value, need, and want in both life and therapy. Our working partnership aims to reinforce, refine, and recreate your well-being based on your self-determination.

I will integrate important aspects of who we both are–including our potentially similar or differing life stages, cultures, or history with social injustice. To help bridge our shared humanity, I integrate affirmative and anti-oppressive practices to support personal dynamics like (but not limited to) neurodiversity, faith, race, disability, gender identities, sexuality, and unique kinship or relationship structures. My role includes upholding both who you are and how your values guide you through your life, relationships, and devotions.

Our approach aims to balance best practices with your circumstances, desired outcomes, and pacing needs. You may, for example, benefit from briefer or more intensive approaches if you’re oriented towards practical solutions, the future, and tangible changes in mood, thoughts, and habits. However, creating wellness for you might be more about presently attuning to your body, past, community, spirituality, creativity, emotions, or connection to nature.

I encourage you to reach out for a free consultation even if you are unsure about what you might want and need in therapy. As we explore possible approaches tailored to you, I will support you with my professional guidance. I look forward to connecting with you.

The longer I live, the more deeply I learn that love—whether we call it friendship or family or romance—is the work of mirroring and magnifying each other’s light. Gentle work. Steadfast work. Life-saving work in those moments when life and shame and sorrow occlude our own light from our view, but there is still a clear-eyed loving person to beam it back. In our best moments, we are that person
for another.
