Grief Counselling in Toronto and London, Ontario
Virtual grief counselling is also available across Ontario
You’re not alone in your grief.
Loss comes in many forms. You may be grieving the loss of a loved one, the loss of a pet, or perhaps the loss of an opportunity. Your grief may be related to death related losses or it may be related to circumstantial losses. Some losses are sudden, unexpected or traumatic. Other times we begin grieving an anticipated loss long before it occurs. Sometimes we need to grieve the loss of something we needed and deserved but never had. Your grief process is unique to your relationship with what has been lost and the challenges and opportunities presented by your circumstances.
Our grief counsellors will work with you to acknowledge your loss, create rituals to contain whatever emotions you need to process and engage in exercises that will preserve and honour your memories. While death or separation may end your ability to relate to your loved one in the outer world, grief counselling can help you relocate that relationship in your inner world. Loss creates a fundamental shift in our lives and grief counselling can help to reconstruct meaning.
Whatever you've lost, we will treat your grief with the honour and respect it deserves. You don’t have to be alone in your grief. We can't take the pain away, but we can help you carry and respond to it.
Grief counselling for children and their families.
You can’t protect them from the pain of loss, but you can support them through it. And we can help.
Children grieve differently, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t grieving. Children need grief support that is informed by their development. While young children may struggle to understand the irreversibility of death, older children often wrestle with fears about their own death and that of other loved ones in the aftermath of a loss. As children grow older, they may need support to reprocess past losses they didn’t fully comprehend at the time.
Our child and youth therapists can help you compassionately meet your child’s current emotional and developmental bereavement needs while also creating a plan to support them as they revisit their grief in the future.
Have you lost an animal companion?
We also offer pet loss grief counselling.
We understand the importance of the furriest members of your family and we’re honoured to walk alongside families who are grieving the loss of a pet.
Without formal pet bereavement rituals the loss of an animal companion often goes unacknowledged by our communities. Unacknowledged or disenfranchised grief can be isolating and difficult to cope with. Grief counselling can help to create a space for you to express your feelings, remember your lost companion, and engage in rituals to honour their loss. We’re here to accompany you as you mourn loss of your pet. This is painful, but you don’t have to carry it alone.

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a queer psychotherapist and a recent transplant from the United States.
I work with queer, trans, and neurodivergent teenagers and adults. Sometimes this includes identity exploration, but sometimes clients just want a therapist who is competent and knowledgeable about these parts of their life. I often support folks who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief & loss of all kinds, ADHD, autism and OCD. This also encompasses many other areas of the human experience, including relationship changes, life transitions, healthy communication, boundary setting, self-criticism, shame, and compassion fatigue.
I am a talk therapist who uses different approaches and can often adjust to a client’s needs. I spend lots of time listening to clients, but am also candid and conversational. If needed, we may work on skills and strategies—and then work through the things that get in the way. I incorporate an IFS-informed parts work approach for clients who are interested in it, and use Exposure & Response Prevention therapy (ERP), for clients struggling with OCD. My approach is patient, compassionate, collaborative, and creative.
I work with clients throughout Ontario through telehealth (video sessions), and continue to work with clients in the states of New York and Wisconsin. If you are from one of these states, please reach out for information specific to billing and fees in the US.
I also provide clinical and practice building consultation to other therapists. I love providing deep-dive support and guidance, by helping you to untangle complex details and find a way forward. I’ve been a therapist since 2012, and am happy to lean on my experience to help support you.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello! I’m a Registered Social Worker with over 15 years of clinical experience supporting adults (19+) and couples in primary care and community mental health settings. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, loss, chronic illness, and relationship challenges, including cross-cultural dynamics.
I have a special interest in couples therapy and am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Developmental Model of Couple Therapy, the Four-Session Assessment Model, Consensual Non-Monogamy (Level I), and CBT (Levels I & II). I integrate DBT-informed practices and am a trained Mindful Self-Compassion practitioner. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, relational, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive.
I support couples experiencing communication breakdowns, intimacy concerns, blended and stepfamily dynamics, multicultural or interracial stressors, and those exploring or practicing consensual non-monogamy (CNM). I also provide affirming therapy for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, creating a space grounded in dignity, safety, and relational justice.
I believe healing happens within safe, compassionate relationships. I bring warmth, curiosity, and thoughtful presence into my work, helping clients deepen emotional awareness, strengthen connection, and move toward meaningful change.
I am committed to ongoing growth and regularly engages in professional development, peer supervision, and collaborative networks within diverse communities to ensure my practice remains ethical, inclusive, and culturally responsive.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with her family and my beloved cat, Atticus. I love hiking and soaking in nature, attending theatre, listening to music, watching Netflix or Prime, learning new recipes, preparing meals, and sharing connection over good food and heartfelt conversation with friends.

Why are we here? Who am I? How do we live amidst suffering? I became a therapist because I want to support people in finding their own answers to life’s toughest questions. I believe good therapy is a lot like applied philosophy. We’re exploring what it means to live a good life–to you. Your answer to that question must take into consideration your unique experience, which is influenced by your early life, trauma, culture, spirituality, gender, and sexuality.
Grounded by existential and psychoanalytic theory, I work by creating a warm, authentic relationship with individuals looking to identify what matters to them and how they want to live a life that supports that. Therapy is a continuation of the developmental process. Throughout our lives, we have a need to be understood, to care and be cared for, and to feel as though our lives matter. When these needs are not met, we can benefit from a supportive therapeutic relationship that helps us feel safe enough to become who we are.
As a social worker, I bring my experience working in employment counselling, crisis intervention and mental health. I enjoy supporting folks building a life worth living in tandem with a mental health diagnosis. I draw interventions from a variety of modalities to support you in this process, including psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment and dialectical behavioural therapies. That means that sometimes we’re building skills: getting to bed earlier, noticing emotions, and setting boundaries. And sometimes, we’re stepping back and exploring how you got to now and where you want to go from here.
My core values as a therapist include courage, curiosity and care. (I swear, I did not intend them to all start with a c!). I am the daughter of Indian and Pakistani parents. As a second-generation immigrant, I enjoy working with themes of loneliness and identity confusion in folks from diverse communities. I believe in being a good friend, auntie and community member to the people around me. I am currently studying psychoanalytic psychotherapy through the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, being around water, writing poetry, and falling down research rabbit holes.
I would be privileged to be a fellow traveller on your journey. Where we go is up to you.

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Expressive Arts Therapist
Ages: 8+
Location: Toronto, Virtual
Fees: $170
My focus with all of my clients is to support them in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves. I help clients listen to their mind to explore the stories, fears, and beliefs they hold; to their body to become aware of how they experience emotions and carry stress; and to their soul to understand what they truly want from this life.
I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Whether a client comes to therapy feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, grieving, navigating trauma, moving through a life transition, struggling with relationships, or feeling overwhelmed about the climate and the future, I offer a supportive space where clients can feel seen, held, and understood. Through this work, clients can build confidence, develop tools, and feel resourced enough to initiate the changes they would like to see in their lives.
My approach blends talk therapies (IFS, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, CBT, and DBT) with creative and embodied therapies such as expressive arts, play, body-based awareness, and connection to nature. This integrative approach can offer new insights and deeper compassion for yourself and your experiences in ways that talk therapy alone sometimes cannot. It can be especially helpful for children and teens, neurodivergent individuals, those living with trauma, and for couples and families engaging in relational repair.
I am a queer, neurodivergent practitioner. I work from a trauma-informed, culturally humble, anti-oppressive, and decolonizing framework. Clients and colleagues often describe me as a passionate guide who brings openness and creative warmth to the therapy space.

Have you been feeling like you’ve lost touch with yourself, or are wondering how to access the person inside who you know is calm, confident, creative, and free? In therapy, I can support you through building a compassionate relationship with parts of yourself you might be having a hard time accepting, including ones that have caused harm to yourself or someone else.
You might be navigating difficult or abusive family or caregiver relationships, exploring attachment, or looking for support processing past traumas. My practice includes support for parents who want to show up differently for their children, adults and youth exploring gender or sexual identity, and anyone with ADHD or Autism navigating shame that can accompany late diagnosis. I also support clients who are navigating relationship challenges and are looking to deepen their connection by understanding how their own wounds affect their openness and authenticity. I work with people in all types of relationship structures.
My approach is mostly informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and parts work, which helps clients develop insight, self-compassion, and healthier relationships with themselves. Creativity is an important part of my life, and I sometimes bring art, music, or other creative approaches into sessions to support growth and self-expression.
I am part of queer communities and have previously worked as a sexual health educator and systems navigator at a local community health centre. Being in private practice has been a long-term dream of mine, and I am honoured to be trusted with people’s stories and with supporting them through life’s transformations.
If you feel drawn to explore therapy and want to see if we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out. I would love to meet you.

Hi! I'm Zach. Thank you for being here.
I work with folks of all genders and sexualities who are feeling fearful and hopeless right now. I am a neuro-inclusive therapist who supports autistic and ADHD individuals. My clients are often feeling isolated or misunderstood in their relationships. I work with couples who are finding it difficult to communicate their needs to each other, and with parents and their adult children to repair relationships.
I am a trans and queer therapist and my experiences inform my work. I know that we don’t exist in a vacuum, and we are constantly impacted both by our closer social networks, and by what is happening in the world. When we work together, we won’t ignore these impacts or try to disappear the feelings or reactions you have.
The kind of therapy I do is Relational Psychotherapy. It is a kind of psychodynamic psychotherapy, which means that I am interested in all of the stories of your past that make you the person you are today. This is a great modality for folks looking for longer term support and to dig deeper into understanding why hurts and heartaches and loneliness keeps repeating. We will do work beyond just understanding your past. We get to build a relationship as a client and therapist which is an opportunity to experientially learn that you are not alone, that you are important, and that you can rely on others.

Hello, and welcome! I’m thankful you’re taking this brave step in seeking support. Here’s a little about me so you can decide if I’d be a good fit for you.
My experience in supporting others has largely been with youth and young adults, 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, harm reduction, neurodivergence, and individuals seeking to build upon their internal awareness and communication skills. In our sessions, I strive to create a space that acknowledges the systems affecting your daily life, values your inherent wisdom, and invites courage to share your story. My approach is holistic, relationship-centred, and trauma-informed.
I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative, and Somatic theories—methods that focus on understanding all parts of yourself and addressing every aspect of life, including spirit, body, and mind. These approaches help us explore your experiences in a way that fosters healing and growth through a focus on your story, parts, and values. I thrive in conversations that take us beyond the surface and dive a little deeper through our internal world.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, playing board games, spending time in nature, and picking up new hobbies—currently, I’m training for a triathlon and learning new baking skills! I believe creativity is a powerful tool for self-exploration, and I encourage you to bring your interests into our sessions.
As a lifelong learner, I am continually inspired by the chance to walk alongside others and be trusted with their stories. I offer virtual sessions across Ontario and in-person sessions in our London and Toronto offices. It would be an honour to support you in reaching your goals and building a life that aligns with your values. If you feel we might be a good match, please reach out for a free consultation. Let’s begin this journey together.

I'm so glad you're here! Whether you decide to book a consult with me or one of my colleagues, congratulations on taking this step to focus on your mental health.
I am a gay, cis-gendered, white settler grateful to live in Toronto (Tkaronto). I've been lucky to serve clients with identities including queer, trans, neurodivergent (including autism and ADHD), members of the global majority, kinky, and consensually non-monogamous.
My primary therapeutic approach is currently internal family system (IFS) therapy. If you've ever said, "A part of me feels one way, but another part of me feels the opposite," you're already speaking IFS' language. I can help you meet and accept the many parts of yourself, learn why they feel/think/behave as they do, and discover your natural ability to calm your distress and heal old hurts. Along the way, folks tend to increase their confidence, courage, and clarity through self-compassion.
I’ve worked with people dealing with emotions such as anxiety, anger, abandonment, depression, loneliness, guilt, and grief; behaviours such as perfectionism, procrastination, emotional disconnection, self-criticism, dissociation, and low self-esteem; and situations such as toxic workplaces, recent break-ups, and exploring sexuality and gender identity/expression.
Outside of this work, I love running, mindfulness meditation, board games, live music, and learning dance moves from TikTok.
I’m accepting new clients for in-person sessions in Toronto and virtual sessions across Ontario. If you think we might be a fit, please book a consult!

The idea of sitting across from a stranger and feeling pressure to be vulnerable can be incredibly daunting. I’ve been there, I attend counselling myself! Many of us have felt the nerves that come with the unknowns of meeting a new counsellor for the first time, especially when you aren't quite feeling like yourself and are reaching out for support. My goal is to help you feel at ease by conducting sessions where you feel most comfortable. Whether that be in my calm, cozy office here at Blueprint, online where you can enjoy the comfort of your own home, or out in the fresh air on Walk and Talk sessions, where we can experience the benefits of natural surroundings in one of London's beautiful parks while walking side by side. I’m here for you, at times that work for your busy schedule.
My practice is a dynamic one of authenticity and non-judgement, and as someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, I come to my sessions with warmth and humor at the forefront (oh, and a sprinkling of an Irish accent!). I firmly believe that understanding your mental health and how your mind and body processes thoughts and feelings is crucial to obtaining mental wellness, and I utilize both talk therapy and mind-body (somatic) practices to help get you there.
With 5+ years of counselling experience in the field of domestic violence, I have gained a trauma-informed, feminist, and anti-oppressive perspective, and this is consistent in both my personal and professional life. I enjoy working with folks from many walks of life; individuals, couples, parents, and anyone navigating depression, anxiety, stress, burn-out, life transitions, and many other life difficulties. It can be so rough out there, and you don’t have to go through it alone. Please connect for a free consultation, I’m here, and I’d love to meet you!

I am here to help you befriend your emotions and connect with your inner wisdom so you can navigate life’s journey from a grounded, empowered, resilient frame of mind. My intention is to create space for you to honour your path towards liberation and authenticity.
As a Registered Social Worker I have over a decade’s experience journeying alongside folks from diverse backgrounds. After completing a Bachelor of Honours in Applied Economics and Psychology in Ontario I went on to pursue my Master of Social Work in British Columbia.
My approach is non-judgemental and warm, seeking to co-create a compassionate space where you can truly feel heard. I aim to embody a possibility mindset and a beginner’s mind. Throughout our work together I will be committed to your process while holding an anti-oppressive and empowerment-based stance to support your needs. I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples in addressing attachment trauma, relationship challenges, their inner critic, resiliency, healthy boundaries, finding meaning, self acceptance, self compassion and their relationship to money. I am also honoured to walk towards healing with clients who are experiencing grief and life transitions.
My work is grounded in Narrative therapy with a focus on externalizing and story re-telling. I also use Internal Family Systems, Principles of Financial Social Work, Trauma of Money, CBT and DBT to guide my work with clients.
When I’m not engaging with clients, I can be found seeking joy and/or beauty in watercolour painting, walking in nature, or sharing time and good food with friends and family. I am a passionate advocate for decolonized slow living and minimalism.

You are the expert in your lived experience.
I believe deeply that we carry within us a capacity for growth, wholeness, and transformation. When we can be witnessed without judgement as fully formed, nuanced humans, the seeds for self-acceptance and self-compassion can take root. The wisdom you have always possessed gains space and clarity to step forward.
My goal is to create a space that is warm, caring, and ‘compassionately curious.’ I use a combination of holistic therapeutic approaches that are relational, integrative, and attachment-oriented. The lens I look through is strengths-based, anti-oppressive and intersectional. Although I’m informed by numerous approaches that work to safely enhance understanding of our nervous systems and connection between mind and body, a consistent element of my practice is rooting therapeutic safety in mindful presence, decolonization, and social justice. Most of all, I show up in this work as human first and foremost and am humbled by our shared capacity to collaborate and foster genuine relationships within the therapeutic space.
I came to this point in my life along a wonderfully winding path. I have experience counselling children and youth, supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries and chronic conditions, assisting and advocating alongside folks as they navigate various institutions and social systems, providing sexual violence prevention training, helping young adults with career questions and holistic emotional wellbeing, facilitating community-based writing and arts groups for unhoused folks, and working as a full spectrum doula with a focus on pregnancy and infant loss support.
I would welcome the chance to connect as you start this journey.

Welcome.
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you've spent a long time trying to figure things out on your own. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out, disconnected from yourself, or caught in patterns that no longer make sense, you don't have to navigate it alone.
I believe our reactions make sense when we understand the experiences that shaped them. Together, we'll slow things down with curiosity rather than judgment, exploring how your nervous system, relationships, and life experiences have influenced the ways you've learned to cope, protect yourself, and move through the world.
This is not about "fixing" you. It's to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself so you can begin responding from a place of greater choice, self-trust, and compassion.
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and relational. I draw primarily from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Mindful Self-Compassion while integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills when helpful. I work gently with both the mind and body, helping clients recognize nervous system patterns, understand protective parts, and create a greater sense of safety within themselves.
Clients often tell me they appreciate that therapy feels both grounding and practical. Together we make sense of your experiences, identify patterns, and build a shared understanding of what's happening beneath the surface—without rushing or forcing change before your system is ready.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. My background includes community mental health, homelessness prevention, crisis intervention, and substance use services, allowing me to support people from many different walks of life. I provide gender-affirming, anti-oppressive care and welcome clients of all identities, cultures, and lived experiences.
Alongside trauma work, I enjoy supporting people who are navigating burnout, shame, self-criticism, relationship challenges, identity exploration, parenting, life transitions, substance use recovery, and the lasting impact of childhood experiences. I also welcome conversations around spirituality, meaning, and our relationship with nature when these are important parts of your healing.
Above all, I hope therapy becomes a place where you feel understood—not judged—and where you can begin to trust yourself again.

Welcome! I’m Vogue and I’m so glad you’re here.
My foremost goal as a therapist is to create a safe space where my clients can exist as their most authentic selves. I am passionate about welcoming and celebrating humans in all forms. I practice with radical acceptance, unconditional positive regard and deep compassion for my clients. My intention is to consistently apply a trauma-informed, culturally responsive and anti-oppressive lens to all of my work. My approach is warm and non-judgemental, with a healthy dose of honesty and humour.
Since 2015, I have had the privilege of supporting children, youth, and their families in the education sector, community mental health agencies and the justice system. I bring expertise and interest in working with attachment wounds, relational trauma, mood and emotional regulation, self-harm, executive functioning concerns, social difficulties and parenting questions.
Some areas I enjoy focusing on are self-compassion, self-worth and confidence building, queer identity exploration and navigating life as a neurodivergent human. That being said, I believe each and every client is wholly unique, and will work with you to co-create your therapeutic plan according to your needs.
I am a Registered Social Worker (OCSWSSW) with a Masters Degree in Social Work from King’s University College. If you would like to know more about my experience and training please see my LinkedIn profile for more information. I look forward to working with you.

You’ll be supported in bringing compassionate curiosity to your experiences and (re)connecting with your sense of self and safety so you can move through the world in ways that feel more authentic and grounded.
As a therapist, I primarily work from an Internal Family Systems framework (“parts work”) with the flexibility of an eclectic style to match your unique preferences and needs. Other approaches I often draw on include somatic and nervous system-focused work, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindful self-compassion, and DBT skills. We’ll work together to find what feels right for you.
I look forward to meeting you and walking with you toward the kind of life you want to be living.

I’m glad you’re here, because reaching out is an important part of wellness and healing. I’m here with wholehearted support for your change journey whether you’re going through a life transition, hoping to tackle longtime struggles, or want to learn more about who you are.
Working with me is a collaborative experiment wrapped in calm, compassionate care. I’ll meet you where you are and respect the vision you have or need space to create, helping you discover and enhance the inner strengths and resources you already hold. I believe each of us has a rich inner system of parts holding our values and pain, our struggles and strengths - and that each part has a valuable role to play in helping shape our experience. My work celebrates connecting to and learning to work with our parts in ways that help us soothe anxiety, create healthy boundaries, and create the space and confidence to show up authentically in our lives.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist available for individual or relationship counselling for adults (18+). I am grateful to receive ongoing supervision from a decolonizing and anti-oppressive lens, and recognize how systems that are not designed to honour our humanity impact our mental health and wellbeing. Fostering joy, peace, rest, presence, and mindfulness are some of the ways we internally resist these systems. I identify as a queer woman and welcome folks across the LGBTQ+ spectrum, of all gender expressions/identities, sexual orientations, and relationship styles (monogamous, consensually non-monogamous, polyamorous, etc.).
Special areas of interest include navigating relationship orientations/structures, exploring gender/sexual identity, transitioning to adulthood, and questions around parenting. I have significant experience in working with young adults coping with post-secondary life. I am primarily informed in my work by internal family systems therapy (IFS), existential therapy, and compassion-focused therapy. If a good fit for you, other approaches I incorporate might include emotion-focused, narrative, values-based, and acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapies.
I look forward to meeting with you and learning more about your needs and hopes.

I know it's hard to ask for help and I'm so glad you're here. I offer a warm, calm, nonjudgemental space to explore whatever concerns are on your mind. Healing starts where you're at and I look forward to meeting you there.
I've been working as a psychotherapist since 2011 and have worked in hospitals, schools, community counselling agencies and the criminal justice system. I've had experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, neurodivergent (ADHD and autistic) people, newcomers to Canada, trauma survivors and people with mental health and substance use concerns. I am constantly inspired by the creativity and resilience of the people I have the privilege of collaborating with. If you're curious and would like to know more about my training and experience check out my Linkedin profile for more information.
I’m also an experienced clinical supervisor and offer supervision to registered social workers, psychotherapists and other mental health professionals. If you’re interested in exploring this form of support, have a look at my clinical supervision page for more information.
At this time I am only accepting referrals from individuals who are interested in pursuing psychedelic assisted psychotherapy. However, we have a number of compassionate counsellors on our team that are currently accepting new clients. You can email our intake team at info@bpcounselling.com to be matched with a counsellor who is currently available.

Life’s not a straight line, and neither is our path along it. Whether it’s a major life transition, questioning your identity, or just trying to figure out how exist in the world as it is, I understand how hard it can be to put one foot in front of the other – never mind even just continuing to stand up.
Therapy is an opportunity to slow down and do just that. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves while building lives that feel intentional, authentic, and aligned with their values. In our work, I’d like to explore the stories you carry about yourself, the experiences that have shaped you, and the patterns that may no longer serve you. From there, we’ll identify what matters most to you and work to create meaningful, sustainable change.
I aim to create a space that is grounded, direct, and approachable: somewhere you can laugh, wrestle with difficult questions, and know that you’ll be met with honesty, curiosity, and compassion rather than judgement — think the older brother who would have covered for you sneaking out, but who you’d also know you could call if things went sideways.
I work with individuals and couples navigating identity, life transitions, anxiety, relationship challenges, attachment wounds, trust repair, masculinity, and both monogamous and polyamorous relationships. My approach is primarily informed by Narrative Therapy, Solution- Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I value both emotional insight and practical action, helping clients translate greater self-understanding into everyday choices that reflect the life they want to build.
As a queer and polyamorous therapist, I understand that identity, relationships, spirituality, and community can all play meaningful roles in how we experience ourselves and the world around us. Whether you’re arriving with clear goals or simply the feeling that something isn’t working anymore, my hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel safe enough to explore honestly, grow intentionally, and build a life that feels genuinely your own.
