What You Can Expect from Relationship and Couples Counselling
Relationships are hard work. You try so hard to understand and meet each other's needs but it still feels like its not enough. When you come to relationship counselling you can expect us to remain a neutral third party completely invested in the health of your relationship. We will give each member an equal opportunity to share their perspective and experience. We'll help you learn to approach conflict respectfully and fairly, to understand each other's unique emotional needs and to respond effectively to each other's wounds. We'll help you create your own unique map to a satisfying and loving relationship that is grounded in friendship, growing in trust and guarded by mutual respect.
Build the relationship you’ve always deserved.
We’re here to help you with:
Communication skills and concerns
Conflicts about money or household responsibilities
Coping with life transitions
Establishing or repairing trust
Protecting the relationship from the interference of others
Differences in sexual desire or sex drive
Infidelity
Parenting challenges and blended families
Negotiating a separation or conscious uncoupling
Navigating consensual non-monogamy (CNM)
LGBTQ+ Relationship Counselling
It's likely that you didn't have any role modelling of healthy queer relationships in your family of origin. It's also likely that the relationships you were surrounded by were heavily saturated in outdated gender norms that aren't a fit for you, your relationship or your values. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and non-binary people experience unique challenges in their relationships and need unique solutions. We are pleased to have a number of couples counsellors who are proud members of the queer and trans community and look forward to helping you achieve the loving relationship you've always deserved.
Due to the limited availability of LGBTQ+ focused couples counsellors, we’re proud to offer online relationship counselling across Ontario (and Canada).
Polyamorous Relationship Counselling
We understand that not all intimate relationships are made up of just two people and affirm all forms of consensual non-monogamy. We are honoured to help non-monogamous couples and relationships that consist of three or more members communicate their boundaries, their expectations, their hopes and their needs. Polyamorous relationship counselling can focus on a particular dyad in the relationship or include all members depending on your specific needs and goals.

Life’s not a straight line, and neither is our path along it. Whether it’s a major life transition, questioning your identity, or just trying to figure out how exist in the world as it is, I understand how hard it can be to put one foot in front of the other – never mind even just continuing to stand up.
Therapy is an opportunity to slow down and do just that. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves while building lives that feel intentional, authentic, and aligned with their values. In our work, I’d like to explore the stories you carry about yourself, the experiences that have shaped you, and the patterns that may no longer serve you. From there, we’ll identify what matters most to you and work to create meaningful, sustainable change.
I aim to create a space that is grounded, direct, and approachable: somewhere you can laugh, wrestle with difficult questions, and know that you’ll be met with honesty, curiosity, and compassion rather than judgement — think the older brother who would have covered for you sneaking out, but who you’d also know you could call if things went sideways.
I work with individuals and couples navigating identity, life transitions, anxiety, relationship challenges, attachment wounds, trust repair, masculinity, and both monogamous and polyamorous relationships. My approach is primarily informed by Narrative Therapy, Solution- Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I value both emotional insight and practical action, helping clients translate greater self-understanding into everyday choices that reflect the life they want to build.
As a queer and polyamorous therapist, I understand that identity, relationships, spirituality, and community can all play meaningful roles in how we experience ourselves and the world around us. Whether you’re arriving with clear goals or simply the feeling that something isn’t working anymore, my hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel safe enough to explore honestly, grow intentionally, and build a life that feels genuinely your own.
