Getting Started

Find Your Fit

Healing and growth happen in relationship, which is why we’re serious about finding the right therapist fit. Once you’ve completed our matching form our collaborative care team will reach out to suggest a few of our currently available counsellors based on your unique needs, preferences and availability. You can then select who you’d like to meet with for an initial consultation. You are welcome to meet with a few of the suggested counsellors for a consultation before confirming the match.

Initial Consultation

Once you’ve selected which counsellor(s) you’d like to meet with, the care team will send you a link to the provider’s online calendar. From there you can book a free initial consultation. This will give you an opportunity to get a better sense of the therapist and what they have to offer. Once you find the right fit, you’ll know, and you can begin booking regular sessions using our online portal.

Choose Your Own Adventure

Prefer to find your own match? You can also view our counsellor’s profiles to find your fit. Let us know who you’ve selected to meet with on your matching form, and we’ll send you a link to their booking portal. You’ll still be offered an opportunity for an initial fit check, and are welcome to meet with more than one counsellor that stands out to you.

Welcome! It takes courage to consider making changes in your life and I appreciate your willingness to take vital steps towards it with Blueprint Counselling. My name is Andrew, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). As a first-generation immigrant from England, and a past career that required multiple relocations, I have lived experience adjusting and adapting to life in a new community. I will listen to your stories and experiences with the goal of better understanding what brings you to therapy and then work with you towards your individual goals. Counselling with me will be a partnership that utilizes your life experiences and expertise, and my background in psychological research and education.

My approach to therapy is person-centred, which means that regardless of the type of therapy being used, it is important that you are heard and understood during the process. It is my wish that authenticity, curiosity, and compassion towards your story, emotions, thoughts, experiences, and lifestyle will help invite positive change into your life. Whether it is helping you create safety within yourself, understanding yourself better, improving your capacity to cope, navigating life transitions, or understanding your relationship with yourself and/or others, I look forward to joining you on your journey.

I am passionate about working with those who are experiencing intense transitionary periods in their lives such as grief and bereavement, immigration and readjustment, and early adulthood to adulthood. I am also keenly interested in helping those who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, passive suicidality, loneliness, self-criticism, and low self-esteem; and scenarios such as romantic breakups, familial estrangements, and toxic workplace environments.

Outside of work, I enjoy gaming, fitness, the outdoors, collecting, listening to podcasts, exploring new natural environments, and a good movie or TV series.

Together, Blueprint and I can facilitate sessions in-person in London, Ontario, and virtually throughout Ontario.

You are the expert in your lived experience.

I believe deeply that we carry within us a capacity for growth, wholeness, and transformation. When we can be witnessed without judgement as fully formed, nuanced humans, the seeds for self-acceptance and self-compassion can take root. The wisdom you have always possessed gains space and clarity to step forward.

My goal is to create a space that is warm, caring, and ‘compassionately curious.’ I use a combination of holistic therapeutic approaches that are relational, integrative, and attachment-oriented. The lens I look through is strengths-based, anti-oppressive and intersectional. Although I’m informed by numerous approaches that work to safely enhance understanding of our nervous systems and connection between mind and body, a consistent element of my practice is rooting therapeutic safety in mindful presence, decolonization, and social justice. Most of all, I show up in this work as human first and foremost and am humbled by our shared capacity to collaborate and foster genuine relationships within the therapeutic space.

I came to this point in my life along a wonderfully winding path. I have experience counselling children and youth, supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries and chronic conditions, assisting and advocating alongside folks as they navigate various institutions and social systems, providing sexual violence prevention training, helping young adults with career questions and holistic emotional wellbeing, facilitating community-based writing and arts groups for unhoused folks, and working as a full spectrum doula with a focus on pregnancy and infant loss support.

I would welcome the chance to connect as you start this journey.

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Expressive Arts Therapist

Ages: 8+

Location: Toronto, Virtual

Fees: $170

My focus with all of my clients is to support them in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves. I help clients listen to their mind to explore the stories, fears, and beliefs they hold; to their body to become aware of how they experience emotions and carry stress; and to their soul to understand what they truly want from this life.

I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Whether a client comes to therapy feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, grieving, navigating trauma, moving through a life transition, struggling with relationships, or feeling overwhelmed about the climate and the future, I offer a supportive space where clients can feel seen, held, and understood. Through this work, clients can build confidence, develop tools, and feel resourced enough to initiate the changes they would like to see in their lives.

My approach blends talk therapies (IFS, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, CBT, and DBT) with creative and embodied therapies such as expressive arts, play, body-based awareness, and connection to nature. This integrative approach can offer new insights and deeper compassion for yourself and your experiences in ways that talk therapy alone sometimes cannot. It can be especially helpful for children and teens, neurodivergent individuals, those living with trauma, and for couples and families engaging in relational repair.

I am a queer, neurodivergent practitioner. I work from a trauma-informed, culturally humble, anti-oppressive, and decolonizing framework. Clients and colleagues often describe me as a passionate guide who brings openness and creative warmth to the therapy space.
