About the workshop:

Relationships evolve, just like individuals. The Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, created by Dr. Ellyn Bader and Peter Pearson, aims to support a relationship’s growth through a series of observable stages leading to sustainable and satisfying relationships based on mutual respect and trust. This interactive workshop will provide a queer and poly affirming introduction to the model. This workshop will enhance your capacity to assess the development of relationships and identify common blocks in relationship development. You’ll explore interventions that support relationships in moving from early symbiosis towards healthy differentiation. You’ll also learn effective strategies for increasing individual member’s capacity for emotional regulation in the context of the relationship. You’ll walk away with helpful resources that will support integrating this innovative model into your practice.
