Dr. Cheryl Willsie
Dr. Cheryl Willsie is a psychiatrist in community practice in what is commonly known as Southwestern Ontario. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Western Ontario and specializes in supporting people healing from personal, intergenerational, and cultural trauma using Internal Family Systems Therapy. Cheryl is a Level 2 trained IFS therapist and has completed programs with the Ketamine Training Center and the Michener Institute to provide Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy in conjunction with IFS.
Cheryl is passionate about addressing the root causes of mental health conditions and increasing the accessibility of trauma-informed care. Her practice is informed by Lifestyle Medicine principles, and she holds a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell. Cheryl enjoys integrating a wide range of interventions to provide a holistic and person-centred approach to mental health care. She identifies as neurodivergent and appreciates the importance of supporting people in learning about their unique sensory needs.
